The Haus zum Breiten Herd in Erfurt is said to have been commissioned by the city bailiff and councilor, Heinrich von Denstedt, in 1584. The polychrome facade design of the Renaissance was reconstructed in 1968. On the facade's first floor are personalized representations of the five senses.
