Painting

Frelinghuysen Arboretum
Morristown, New Jersey

Stepped briefly into the arboretum's air-conditioned (!) visitor center and spotted this lovely painting. Didn't have the presence of mind to jot down the artist's name. Sorry! Next time. :-)

Ferns

Surprising how plants like these, arranged and layered so carefully, can make you feel cooler even on what was otherwise a terribly hot and humid afternoon.

I was fascinated--mesmerized, really--by the patterns here at the entrance to the Frelinghuysen's summer home.

Berlin Bound

Finally! After several hours of waiting, my connecting flight to Berlin is being prepared for departure. Now for many more hours of sitting and waiting aboard this 777 as it wings its way across the Atlantic.

Another food enterprise I didn't partake from. I was just intrigued by the sign and--well, to be frank--bored stiff as I continued to wait for my connecting flight to Berlin. Lucky I had my camera with me to keep me busy. :-)

Nah! I didn't eat here. Just captured this photo on my way to catch my flight to Berlin.

Weed Whacker

First leg of my trip back to Eastern Europe--Newark International Airport aboard the "weed whacker" as someone I know affectionately called it. Weed whacker or not, it got me to Newark in plenty of time to catch my flight to Berlin. Thanks, United Express!
